Pe data de 28 martie, între orele 20:30 şi 21:30 va avea loc „Earth Hour” sau „Ora Pământului”. Această oră are o semnificaţie aparte pentru întreaga lume, fiind o dovadă de responsabilitate şi de sacrificiu faţă de mediu, mai nou atât de asaltat de factori antropici scăpaţi de sub control.

Oameni de pe tot întinsul globului vor participa la această manifestaţie. Parisul, denumit şi oraşul luminilor, va stinge chiar şi luminile de pe Turnul Eiffel, stadionul Wibledon al Anglei va fi şi el cufundat în întuneric, piramidele egiptene şi sfinxul la rândul lor vor fi neiluminate, întocmai ca Empire State Building din New Zork şi Statuia lui Iisus ce veghează asupra lui Rio de Janeiro.

Tu vei stinge lumina pentru o lume mai bună?

Treizeci de milioane de cercetaşi din toata lumea participă şi susţin această mişcare ecologică, încurajând cât mai mulţi oameni să li se alăture în cauza lor.

Alătură-te nouă şi fă lumea un loc mai bun!

Efectele benefice care se preconizează anul acesta în timpul „Orei Pământului” sunt:

• Cu 16.500 tone mai puţine emisii de dioxid de carbon

• 1200 oraşe din 80 de ţări înscrise oficial în proiect

• 1 miliard de oameni vor stinge lumina!!!

• Economisirea a 240.000 MW care pot reprezenta traficul a 800 milioane de maşini într-o oră sau 150 de drumuri Pământ-Lună cu o navetă spaţiala de 1000 tone

„Earth Hour” will be taking place on the 28th of March, between 8:30 and 9:30 PM. Are YOU ready for it?

This is one of the most important days in the year dedicated to protecting the environemnet and represents the sacrifice we are willing to do in order to help create a better world. Such an act of selflessness is invaluable, especially now when our environment is being assaulted by a wide array of man-made poluting factors.

People from around the world, along with 30 million Scouts will be involved in this monumental movement. Paris, also known as „The City of Lights” will, ironically, be submerged in darkness; not even the Eiffel Tower will be lighted. In England, the Wimbledon Stadium will also find itself in the dark, along with the pyramids in Egypt, the Empire State Building in New York and the Statue of Jesus in Rio de Janeiro.

Will you find the POWER to switch off?

Positive changes:

• 16,500 tones less CO₂ emissions

• 1,200 cities in 80 countries are officially onboard the project.

• ONE BILLION people will turn off the light.

• 240,000 MW, the equivalent of 800 million cars in traffic for an hour or 150 Earth-Moon expeditions in a 1000 tone spaceship, will be saved.

De bun venit. [Welcome]

Probabil că mulţi se întreabă „de ce?” acest blog. Vă răspundem tot noi: Pentru că în ziua de astăzi sunt din ce în ce mai mulţi copii care au nevoie de o educaţie socială, pe care părinţii sunt tot mai puţin capabili să le-o ofere, din varii motive, cum ar fi lipsa de timp liber.

Noi, la Centrul Local Deva, răspândim ceea ce a devenit deja tradiţia Scout, adică a Cercetaşilor. Spun asta deoarece România a fost implicată în mişcarea „Scout” la puţin timp dupa iniţierea acesteia, acum 102 de ani, în 1907.

Rolul nostru este să îi facem pe oameni să conştientizeze că fac parte dintr-o societate civilizată în cadrul căreia trebuie să se comporte ca atare, aratând înţelegere şi compasiune faţă de oameni şi natură, prin socializare şi spirit ecologic. De asemenea, cercetaşii încurajează activitaţile în folosul comunităţii, şi de ce nu, al umanitaţii.

Din aproape în aproape, cercetaşia schimbă lumea prin intermediul celor ce ajută şi susţin această extraordinară mişcare.

Te invităm să ne citeşti în continuare şi să afli ce mai facem, dacă tu consideri de cuviinţă, să ne susţii, iar dacă nu, să ne spui ce putem schimba.

Many of you might wonder „why” this blog has come to exist. It's us who give the answer: Because today there are more and more youngsters who need social education, which parents often fail to offer them, accusing many reasons, such as the lack of spare time.

At Deva's scout centre, we spread what has already become the Scout tradition. I say this because Romania has become involved in the „Scout” Movement shortly after it had been initiated, 102 years ago, in 1907.

Our role is to make people realise that they are part of a civilized society and therefore have to behave accordingly, showing understanding and compasion towards people and nature, through socialising and eco friendlyness. Moreover, scouts support volunteering for the community, and, why not, for the whole of humanity.

Little by little, scouting changes the world through those who help and support this extraordinary movement.
